No sleep

Things I learn here in San Francisco: a brass monkey is a mixture of malt liquor and orange juice and a brooklyn is two cases of beer and a handle.

Coming up this Friday at the Horseshoe Grounds in Golden Gate park is a screening of several 16mm silent experimental films accompanied with live improvised music by Extra Life and Nat Turner. Jenn Su helped organize it, and I made a flyer for it. While I haven't had a chance to sleep much in recent days, I did figure out the secret to post collegiate all nighters: Austrian white wine that is corked with a soda cap...classy.

Kelly Nicholson is also going to have the opening for her crazy sculpture at the Commonweal Gallery in Bolinas. I think I want to try and bike there, but lazyness will probably take the best of me and I'll take the bus...or hitchhike...
